Trade shows in retrospect: A prosperous start in 2017
April 26th, 2017. Trade shows in retrospect: INGENERIC successful as exhibitor at Photonics West, LASER China, and OFC.
Almost 23,000 scientist, researchers, engineers and interested visitors of the international photonics industry participated in the SPIE Photonics West this year – the best visitor numbers of the fair at all. At conferences and exhibitions in two halls by almost 1,400 companies, new products and innovative technologies were presented to the specialist audience. Already for the 13th time, INGENERIC has been participating as an exhibitor in San Francisco. Numerous customers, business partners, and prospective visitors used the opportunity to learn about our innovations such as the new BeamPROP 200 or to learn about the possibilities of individual development of laser systems and Microlens Arrays.Similar highlights were also shown at our LASER World of Photonics China exhibition stand. In addition to optics for collimation and beam forming of high-power diode lasers, there was also a special focus on our Microlens Arrays. Already for the eighth time we were one of the presenters in the German pavilion – and overrun by interested parties. The high response shows clearly the increasing demand in complex solutions and the change to high-tech developments also in China. This market trend is also reflected by the ever-growing trade fair in Shanghai: With 929 exhibitors from 25 countries (16% more than last year), almost 54,000 visitors (18% increases) on an area of almost 50,000m², this was the most successful LASER China ever. This year, our team at the show was actively supported by Christine Zheng from Top Premier Ltd. Top Premier represents INGENERIC as a new distribution partner in the Chinese market.
A novelty for us was sureley the participation in the OFC in Los Angeles. For many years, OFC has been the platform for topics such as optical networking and communication, fiber optics, 5G, the Internet of Things, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. Almost 15,000 visitors and 663 exhibitors from all over the world were part of this year’s conference and exhibition. Of course, the focus was on the presentation of our Microlens Arrays. Visitors were particularly impressed by the possibility of individual, customer-specific solutions, our precise production method and the components made of glass. At OFC we were able to take the opportunity to establish our reputation and to familiarize ourselves with the requirements of the industry even more intensively. All in all a successful start to the year 2017!
