INGENERIC Achieves Significant Energy Goals and Strengthens Production Efficiency

Sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management are central pillars of INGENERIC’s corporate strategy. Since 2016, the company has operated a certified energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 for the development and production of micro-optics, optical systems, and laser systems.

INGENERIC’s sustainability strategy focuses on continuously reducing energy consumption in production and expanding renewable energy sources. Through modern, energy-efficient manufacturing processes and targeted measures, INGENERIC systematically reduces resource consumption and CO₂ footprint – with clearly measurable results:

• Through optimized air volume management in production areas and heat recovery from compressors, the company saves 183,297 kWh of electricity annually compared to the baseline year 2020/21.

• In fiscal year 2025/26, INGENERIC reduced CO₂ emissions by 101 tonnes (−89 %) compared to the baseline year 2020/21.

• Since June 2026, a photovoltaic system with 141 kWp capacity has been operational, generating approximately 112,000 kWh of electricity annually from renewable energy sources.

By 2030, INGENERIC targets annual efficiency improvements of 3 % for gas and oil and 1.5 % for electricity – target values the company is already achieving today. Through these efforts, INGENERIC makes a demonstrable contribution to climate protection and resource conservation, offering customers micro-optics and optical systems that are manufactured in a particularly climate-friendly and resource-efficient manner.
