INGENERIC develops and manufactures high-precision micro-optics and lens arrays using precision glass molding to achieve consistently reproducible quality. 2001

Company Founded

INGENERIC is established as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Aachen, focusing from the outset on an innovative manufacturing process for micro-optics.

2002-2007

Optics for Laser Applications

Development and initial volume production of FAC, SAC, and BTS optics for collimating laser beams from diode lasers.

2014

Technology for MLA's

Development of manufacturing technology for 1D and 2D lens arrays.

2019

Acquisition of Aixtooling

INGENERIC acquires Aixtooling GmbH, a specialized manufacturer of precision tools for optics, further expanding its production capabilities and expertise in micro-optics manufacturing.

2019

New Headquarters

INGENERIC relocates to its new facility in Baesweiler (nearby Aachen), significantly expanding its production and R&D infrastructure.

2021

MLA for Datacom

Expansion of business activities with 1D and 2D lens arrays to enhance performance in optical data transmission for data centers.

2026
